SMLD is currently in the 60% engineering and design phase for the lakefront protection. The project will consist of an inplace deployable floodwall across the lake side of the properties. It will also include a new flood gate on the Walnut St. Canal as well as an added weir on the canal. We are hoping to go to bid on phases of this project in the 4th quarter of 2026
