With roughly 130 miles of local and federal levees, The St. Mary Levee District protects approximately 4 billion dollars in residential, commercial and farm property.

This flood protection is the backbone to current and future life in the parish. The vicinity to water for industry and recreation is what makes our area so enticing to people. The flood protection is what makes it feasible to live and operate here.
